Application Process
We keep our hiring process structured, transparent, and respectful of your time. Whether you are applying for an open position or our Internship Program, the core steps remain the same: a clear application, thoughtful review, a conversation with our team, and a structured onboarding experience.
Our 4-Step Application Journey
-
1Step 1Submit Your Application
Email your application to careers@thesishelpline.com. Please include:
- Updated CV with academic background and current role.
- Short cover letter explaining the role you’re interested in (Open Position or Internship) and why you’d like to work with Thesis Helpline™.
- Role-specific samples, such as:
- Edited manuscripts or thesis chapters (for editors).
- Published articles or preprints (for reviewers / clinicians / PhD researchers).
- Statistical output, scripts, or dashboards (for biostatisticians / data analysts).
- Posters, slide decks, or infographics (for design roles).
-
2Step 2Screening & Shortlisting
Our core team reviews every application with equal attention. We look for:
- Strong academic and clinical research background.
- Evidence of prior publications (PubMed / Scopus / Web of Science indexed preferred).
- Experience with high-impact or specialty journals (impact factor ≥ 5 is a plus).
- Technical depth in relevant tools (R, Stata, SPSS, Python, reference managers, design tools, etc.).
Shortlisted applicants are contacted via email with next-step details and proposed interview slots.
-
3Step 3Conversation & Role-Specific Task
Selected candidates are invited for a virtual discussion with one or more members of our leadership and division-specific teams. This is followed by a brief, role-aligned task, for example:
- Editing or restructuring a short manuscript passage.
- Running and interpreting a small statistical analysis.
- Reviewing a study protocol or mock IRB synopsis.
- Designing a one-slide visual or mini-poster.
The goal is not just to “test” but to understand how you think, communicate, and approach real projects.
-
4Step 4Offer, Onboarding & First Projects
Candidates who align with our values, quality benchmarks, and workload requirements receive a formal offer (freelance, part-time, or full-time, depending on discussion).
Once you accept the offer, we will:
- Share an onboarding pack, NDAs, and our ethical use guidelines.
- Create your access to the Thesis Helpline™ Client & Expert Portal.
- Introduce you to your division (Research & Academic Services, Design & Communication, Technology, Client Operations, or Growth & Strategy).
- Begin with supervised projects and gradual responsibility scaling as you settle into the workflow.
Our aim is to integrate you into a collaborative, research-obsessed, ethics-first team—not just assign isolated tasks.
